My sweet, smart, and enthusiastic kindergarten students live in a community where there is limed opportunities to explore the world around them. Our school is 100% free lunches due to the poverty level of the area. My 4 and 5 year old children need Big Books, Storytelling props, and a storage area with a magnetic writing board where they can focus on alphabet recognition, phonemic awareness, reading, and storytelling. They will explore during Read-Alouds, Shared Reading, and Individual Reading. Our students will use these materials to explore their creativity through stories and dramatic play to read while learning new vocabulary! These books and activities will be used during large group, small group, and learning center times throughout the day as we read and write while learning together. They will be able to use these manipulatives and books during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they make words, create stories, and act out the books. Your generous donation to our project will improve our Kindergarten classroom by building a stronger readers and writers. This will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!
