My student-athletes will use the shoes as an incentive to: maintain an 80% average in all their classes, good classroom behavior, and shoes will be given to them at the end of the season. Most of my young men do not have basketball shoes and can not afford a high-quality basketball shoe to be successful on the court. I want my team to feel a sense of community and pride in being on this team. These deserving young men have ancient team uniforms that were passed down from the nearby high school. The shorts are either extremely big or small. I want my athletes to feel comfortable while on the basketball court with the proper clothing and equipment.
