I am buying this new saw to replace our existing Compound Miter Saw. Our current saw is on it's last legs and is one bad cut away from leaving us with just hand saws for projects. This new saw will allow us to take on bigger projects and allow our students to learn framing and other construction techniques. Some of our planned project include constructing a storage shed for our Horticulture class, building chicken coops for resale, and dog houses for student pets. Replacing aging tools is a necessary part of improving our program, however it is not always something that is possible with our current funding.
