I am a third grade Reading at a Title One school in Mississippi. My students come from disadvantaged households, lack proper reading materials at home, and have suffered losses of love one's due to gang violence. My students are eager to learn and determined to be the best they can be. I feel it is my job as their teacher to provide them with quality instruction and supplies necessary to make reading more enjoyable. My school believes in team work and hard work. Our theme this year is: Working together! Due to budget cuts, most schools in my district are struggling to supply the students with sufficient materials.
