STEM education is critical in today's young students. The Kids' Fire tablets will provide immeasurable learning opportunities for my first graders. Just this staple item will open doors for endless academic experiences during small group centers. The tablets would be loaded with STEM apps for students to choose from or I could assign a specific app based on students' needs. By donating to our project you would not only be providing STEM experiences, but undivided attention, learning opportunities, and interventions to students that would not have received them otherwise. As stated earlier, the academic ability levels of my students this year vary drastically, making the time for small group instruction and centers of utmost importance. While I am pulling small groups for interventions, it is imperative that the remainder of the class is engaged in meaningful academic activities which these requested Amazon Fire tablets would provide. These 1st graders have so much potential. My goal is to ensure that they are adequately prepared, loaded with STEM knowledge, cared for and instill a love for learning.
