The read-a-long kits will help my students build their reading fluency. Frequent read alouds teach children rhythm, flow and expression during reading. Having rich literature read to them increases their vocabulary and their exposure to a variety of genres. The non-fiction books will increase their general knowledge of real life people, animals and places. My students enjoy listening to the stories as they follow along in the book. Your generous donation will improve my students' lives by giving them more exposure to books, allowing for shared reading (as these books are for the listening center) and helping to foster a lifetime of reading and learning.
