My students are 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students that need extra help to fill gaps in their learning. I take small groups of these kiddos and work on specific math and reading skills that they are missing or need more development in. We have intense learning sessions to build confidence and skills. Our school was flooded due to Hurricane Harvey and we are at present housed in another elementary school. We lost the majority of our teaching materials and my classroom is currently a table and rolling cart out in the hallway. We hope to move into portable buildings in the next two weeks and I will have a more proper environment for my special learners. Right now I have 25 years of teaching experience , few materials, and many eager kids who are ready to feel normal again. In the past I prided myself on creating an inviting and student friendly environment in my classroom. With your help, I can build that classroom again!
