My students are encouraged to read everyday at school and at home. Their reading bags are currently a Ziploc bag that holds the books that they are reading in their reading groups and the books that they make in the classroom. Their reading bag also holds their sight word journals so they can practice their sight words that are connected to their reading books. Unfortunately, the bags get ripped or are hard for my little guys to close which leaves a big mess of books. These students deserve durable reading bags that they can take home with them everyday! They love sharing what they have learned at school with their families. The magnetic letter tiles are a hands-on way for the class to use their decoding skills to help them build words that may be in their reading books. These super reading tools will be an exciting and encouraging support system to promote these students to be successful in reading at school and at home. This home school connection brings stronger and confident readers that leads to a stronger and confident classroom environment!
