So far this year our class has relied on free, digital books for reading. With these donations, students will be given physical books that they can hold and flip through the pages. We will use the books for guided reading groups, science, and social studies. For many of my students, these will be the first real books they have ever owned. I chose the Scholastic Readers subscription because students will continue to use these resources all year. My hope is for these books to guide learning and continue to build our virtual learning community so all students feel cared and provided for.
