Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! As a former high school dropout, I grew up in a neighborhood where poverty cycled from generation to generation. In my early twenties, I decided that life had to be better, so I returned to school to not only obtain my GED, but continued on to earn my Master of Education degree from Old Dominion University. It is my life's mission to show children like myself that they are not their circumstances. They can dream AND reach their goals! For this reason, I choose to work every day in schools where children live in the highest poverty areas. I hope to inspire my students and to create an environment where learning is a verb.
