My students are three-years-old. This is their first year in school. Many of them speak Spanish at home and are learning English for the first time. All of my students come from low income families. They love coming to school every day to play and learn. This year they will learn literacy skills to prepare them to read. When children are learning a new language while learning reading skills at the same time, it makes their task more challenging. My students need fun materials to motivate them to learn.
