I am a school librarian for a high school grades 7-12 - trying to meet the needs of students ages 12 to 18 on a limited, and shrinking library budget is hard. My do love to read though, especially when we have DEAR Day once a month. DEAR is one of the most popular days in school, when all English classes spend the entire period reading independently. The library is always packed for kids looking for new and interesting things to read - unfortunately, finding the right books for a diverse group of students, in terms of interest, age and race is not always easy.
