My school consist of students in an lower socioeconomic class. My class is organized as a computer lab with a set of 13 desk shaped in a “U”. Half of the students will work in a small group with me and the remainder of the students will use the computers and headphones in small groups to complete a program designed to increase their math achievement and eliminate math deficiencies. After 30 minutes, we will rotate groups. We need and have the space for two more computers. Last year, 70% of our students at our school moved 2 grade levels. I feel that we can increase the percentage to 80% if we have the appropriate tools.
