The materials and supplies I’m requesting already have a "home". In other words, I know exactly where they’ll go. We just need your help getting them there! Most supplies will be used on a daily basis so that my students can create their own interactive science notebooks. These notebooks will help my students keep organized just like laboratory and field scientists do. My students will have a packaged notebook representing all of their learning throughout the year. The clipboards will be offered to students so that they may work where they are comfortable. The inspirational vinyl quotes will help decorate the bare walls, while providing my students with the extra drive to achieve their goals. Giving is not just about making a donation, it's about making a difference; your donation to this project will make a difference by providing my students' with an environment that will re-energize their view of science. The storage bins will help to keep student supplies neatly organized and easily accessible, which helps with those students who need extra support in organization; calculators will be used to do computations for students with specific learning deficits; colored pencils will help brighten up interactive notebooks; the table fans will help keep the classroom cool so that it is comfortable, and will also help funnel out any lab odors; eye protection will help students stay safe when handling materials; lap boards and Expo-markers will help students that are non-verbal interact with teacher questions; Elmer’s liquid glue will be a key ingredient when making slime; pearl erasers will help those students that lack the fine motor skills; and protractors, compasses, and rulers are essential tools to help in designing, which will be useful during our bridge building projects. Success is science; if you have the conditions, you get the results.
