Students in our school are far from much of the world they are learning about in my science class. Google expeditions will allow them to experience polar ice caps and glaciers and see how massive they truly are, not just read about how they change the shape of teh land they crawl accross. Let the students see the planet Mars from the eyes of the Mars landers and help them dream of one day colonizing a planet or creating a passion for reaching for the stars. The students learn about the history of the planets and the far reaches of space in my classroom. They wil learn about the types of forces it takes to launch a rocket and how to design and use a catapult and other machines. This not only helps the students visualize the standards they need to learn, but also helps them experience and dream beyond the classroom.
