I work in a school with 100% free breakfast and lunch based on the needs of our families meaning our resources are very limited. We do what we can with what we are provided and have a blast learning in a hands-on environment. We are an energetic bunch and incorporate a ton of movement both inside and outside to keep learners engaged and active. We want to keep learning without limitations from the heat. Unfortunately, we are in a classroom with little to no breeze, and on hot sticky days, we frequently avoid any activities that get us moving too much as it is very difficult to find ways to cool down. We are also a class of larger fifth grade bodies that heat up faster, tend to get sweatier, and sometimes smellier. These oscillating tower fans would provide cooling for the whole classroom so we wouldn't have to limit our activities. One of them also has an air purifier to hopefully reduce some of the smells that come along with a sweaty classroom. These fans would help create a more positive and comfortable learning environment. Thank you so much for considering this project. Giving students the opportunity to learn in a comfortable learning environment allows them to continue working hard and making the most of our time together-even on the hottest days! Your donation will also teach them that leaders help others and someday hopefully they will pay it forward.
