The library offers many opportunities to our students beyond book lending! As the school library media specialist, I directly teach classes in collaboration with classroom teachers and also offer activities and resources for small groups and individuals to extend their learning and experiences beyond their classroom. We are a school of between four and five hundred 11- to 14-year-olds, most of whom come from very low-income families, and they particularly need these services.
