Hi everyone! My name is Mr. Schulman, but many of my students call me Mr. Civics, since I teach Civics and Responsibility to Kindergarten through 5th grade. They love learning how to become responsible citizens and participating members of their community, town, state, country and world. They also love to sustain their environment! We have a great group of students across grades who are part of our school's Green Team. Because we are located in Brownsville, Brooklyn, we call ourselves The Brownsville Binners. As the school's Sustainability Coordinator as well, I hold meetings with the kids to get their input on ways to "greenify" our beautiful school. They are really taking the lead on this initiative, and making the Earth a more beautiful place in the process.
