Students grow tired of sitting at a desk all day. Flexible seating will pay a big part in the unique learning environment that students will experience when they are in my class. I am seeking these floor cushions and foam tiles in order to provide a collaboration space for my students. I believe that students in my class are learning much more valuable skills than the core subjects - they are learning how to work with their peers. Students, through the use of the academic content, are developing priceless skills by discussing, interpreting, and inquiring with eachother. My plan is that by providing a more comfortable and flexible environment for my students to have these important moments of collaboration, they will be more likely to continue the development and practice of these skills.
