I have a class full of very energetic and fun five year olds. Most of my students come to me without any prior school experience. Almost all of my students come from poor households, some with multi-family households and a couple who are considered homeless. They are all very sweet kids who love to be at school and learn. They love to be loved and all give hugs to myself and anyone who enters my room! With no funded preschool in Illinois many of my students enter Kindergarten knowing very limited skills. While in school some students make big gains while many others still struggle. All of my students try really hard during the school day to be as successful as they can be!
