My kindergarten students need routine in all daily tasks. During our whole group math time, we use math manipulatives. It's important for young kids to have easy access to these hands-on materials. A 20-cubby storage unit would provide my students opportunities to get items quickly with fewer disruptions, allowing my students to stay focused on the learning goal of the day. Students can grab bins independently and take them to their assigned table or area. I teach my students routines and establish organization for all classroom items. This storage unit would allow quick access to toys as well as easy clean up for everyone. Each math group will be able to play and then clean up items in the assigned bin and then put it back in one of the 20 cubbies. Over the years, I have added to my math toys and hands-on manipulatives. A classroom cubby unit would provide my students with opportunities to choose toys they would like to play with during math.
