As a reading interventions teacher, I encourage my students to read everyday in order to support their growth in reading and love of books. In providing my students with a library full of high interest books, and cozy chairs to sit in, I hope to continue to foster their growth in reading, creating life-long readers. Currently, my classroom has a small library and two bean-bag chairs. My students begin class each day reading a book of their choice and have begun to see the magic of books. This has made me realize the importance of providing them with additional seating, and books that will hold their interest, in order to support their continued growth in reading.
