I am beginning my second year teaching in an urban school. I would like to add a rug to my classroom to help create a comfortable environment where my students can come together to learn and grow. This would be used to have whole class and small group discussions. Students could work together on the rug to practice what they are learning. It is also a great way to help them learn about person space. The easel would help to encourage participation and active learning. Students would be able to come up to the easel and participate in lessons and practice what they have learned.
