The use of devices in my classroom is encouraged during center work because students are able to explore and expand on their skills on their devices with individualized instructions to help them grow at their own pace. Therefore, I want students to be able to be attentive only to their work and not be distracted by the other sounds in the classroom, but also I do not want students on their devices to disrupt the other students in the classroom, especially when I am working with my focus groups. Overall, all students will benefit because they will be able to focus only on their academic materials.
