Within physical education, we have state tests referred to as FitnessGram Testing, where students are physically tested on certain standard "exercises" such as: push ups, curl ups, etc. With this said, our PE department utilizes our warm ups and main warm up space to help grow in these areas. With the lack of old rugs spread across our three PE teachers, we are already struggling to supply each student with an alternative option versus sitting on the dirty blacktop. Thus, our everyday warm ups are lacking sufficient repetitions in order to improve and get stronger for our core Fitnessgram testing. These scores identify each student's health and fitness zone compared to their overall health zone for gender and age. Furthermore, not being able to practice exercises daily is actually setting us behind. Please help us to grow and get stronger by supplying us with yoga mats.
