I teach 11th and 12th graders English and poetry at a neighborhood high school in one of America's poorest congressional districts. My students are hilarious, resilient, creative, and talented! They inspire and delight me every day. I want to send them back out into the world inspired and delighted, and for my classroom to be a place where they get "bread, and roses too." I'm determined to hustle for whatever resources I need to help them thrive as learners, readers, writers, and human beings.
