I teach in a special education resource room in a diverse community servicing grade levels from kindergarten to second grade. As a fifth year teacher, I need the supplies listed because they will enhance learning while keeping the children engaged and motivated. My kindergarten children are mostly developmentally delayed so items to improve their fine motor skills will help them immensely. As my students all have special needs, many of the resources I have asked for will incorporate differentiated learning strategies to help them understand basic concepts. I crave the opportunity to make learning fun for these children as I know it will create memorable experiences for them.
