The idea for this project came out of the fact that the instruments that I use as loaners for students who can't afford to rent or buy an instrument are getting lost, stolen, and falling into disrepair. The addition of eight new instruments would be very helpful for my program. Many of the instruments that students are expected to use are a disgrace and an embarrassment. No musician should have to go without a quality instrument, let alone students who are striving to do their best. Their progress would skyrocket to new heights, in addition to the fact that many more students will benefit from these new instruments for years to come.
