Graphing calculators are a necessary in higher mathematics. Through the use of a graphing calculator valuable time can be used to analyze graphs and other specifics of functions, rather than spending so much time on the computation. The shift in mathematics has forced the student to focus more on analyzing, rather than on computation and the TI-84+CE Graphing Calculator makes this transition possible. I want my students to love mathematics as much as I do. I want them to have the self-confidence to try new things academically. By allowing my students to use technology and watch how mathematics can come to life on a calculator screen, I am fostering a new generation of mathematicians!
