The majority of children in my classroom are considered extreme poverty level students who have a desire and dream to be just as productive as students who are more privileged. About 95% of the students in my classroom receive free or reduced lunches. Most of my kids lack basic necessities they need. On a daily basis, I have more than one child that did not eat dinner the night before or one that didn't have any clean clothes to put on for school. It is for this reason that these children love to come to school!!!
