Thank you for considering a project in my classroom. I work in a high poverty middle school that serves approximately 300 students. Our entire staff works to ensure that our kids have every opportunity for success. I love teaching ELA because I feel that I can show my kids the world through the books we read. Although we may live in rural West Virginia, we read about places and people that give my students a broader world view. I also look to collaborate with other teachers within my building to create multidisciplinary lessons to show my students how what they are learning in ELA can apply to other subject areas.
