Caught in between, my students and staff work hard to create a culture of reading. Our kids love everything digital and media oriented, but picking up a good book is seldom their first go-to. We recently went on a quest for used books and now have a small collection of 150, or so, for our 400 students attending school in the heart of South Los Angeles.
