My students are 5th graders in the St. Paul urban area who happen to have learning, emotional, or physical disabilities. I describe all my students as empathic, hardworking, and resilient. My students are used to sticking with things over the long term and approach the road to achievement as a marathon. They have accomplished so much in my classroom and made substantial progress throughout their tenure at our elementary school. They view their education as an investment in the long-term and come to school each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to try anything.
