We don't have tables, chairs, or desks in this room, because of our movement activities and instruments. So we would use this rug every day to sit on for passing games, stop and think time, partner talk, board work and SEL time. Many, of our games or folk dances, start in a circle. This carpet would be an easy way to make that transition effortless. It would also allow for each child to have their own assigned seat on the rug. This project would benefit every single one of my 14 classes! We would love to update our 20 plus-year rug, that we are currently using.
