My scholars come from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, one hundred percent of which receive free breakfast and lunch. As their teacher, it is my goal to support all aspects of growth, both academic and extra-curricular by providing access to various opportunities and resources. In spite of challenging life situations, my scholars thrive when they are driven toward success by critical thinking experiences and intentional teaching. The pandemic has stripped away social interactions from many of scholars, and we all look forward to getting back to some sense of normalcy soon. Each of my scholars thrive for and deserve a safe place to learn. They also deserve a safe place to play and socialize with each other. Balance in life is vital and recess helps provide students with that much needed work-play balance. Our indoor and outdoor recess is that space in which my students get the opportunity to release stored energy, learn how to resolve conflict, communicate, share, work as a team, and build everlasting relationships. Your donation to our class will help provide my students with resources to have fun while developing life social skills. It is my humble request that you help me see this vision through by donating to my amazing scholars.
