My students need to move throughout the day. My little learners have a lot of wiggles they need to get out to help them focus. They also learn best with hands-on learning at centers/stations. The current pandemic has created special challenges that I must address for my students to be able to move throughout the room to these stations. I am creating a schedule to make sure that centers are sanitized between each group. To do so I had to remove pillow, cushions, and other materials from my room that are not able to be sanitized effectively.
These wobble chairs and cushions will give my students a comfortable, fun place to sit that I can feasibly clean to keep my kiddos safe this year. We will use these seating options around the room so that my kindergartners can take part in centers and stations, instead of sitting in the same chair all day. As many parts of our school day has changed this year, I want to provide this opportunity to have some part of our usual school routine.
