I teach a merry band of three, four, and five year olds in the Somerville Public Schools. Half of my students have education plans, and half are peers from the community, and most of them will spend at least 2 years together, learning from each other, and laughing together. Our PTA generously paid for 2 raised garden beds to be built for us last summer, and we've had an opportunity to work with a local organization with formal lessons exploring green and growing things, but to make the garden truly useful, we will need tools to use as we learn to care for our green space.

About my class
