Our district is experiencing serious budget cuts. The district is unable to provide this crucial survey text book for this history course. This text will serve as a foundation text for student understanding of the Holocaust. I have already purchased a couple of these texts myself for the course, but I personally cannot absorb the cost of a class set. The Holocaust is a complex event in world history which requires a standard text for students to gain both chronological and thematic information about this most tragic time. This text choice is in line with the course curriculum. Students will benefit from the text's presentation of this time period in world history.
