My students are eager to learn, succeed and do well. They are well- rounded, many of them involved in extra-curricular activities. Furthermore, I also have a class of SPED(students with special needs) students whom require hands-on learning. My school is in a decent neighborhood, however, the resources are limited. As a result, the amount of class sets of novels are scarce. A way to combat this problem would be to require students to buy novels. However, some students (due to economic reasons) can not purchase additional books. These donations will provide students with additional opportunities to improve literacy.
