Welcome to our DonorsChoose.org page, and thank you for your interest in our school! I teach roughly 700 students total, with about 400 at Williford Elementary and 300 at Swift Creek Elementary. These kids are fantastic! If you walked into our classroom, you would see our students engaged in the music making process - we read and discuss the poetry in our songs, we analyze and critique other elementary school performances on YouTube and apply those concepts to our own singing, and we learn rhythms on a set of authentic African drums provided through a DonorsChoose grant funded a few years ago. In short - we laugh, we sing, we dance, we discuss/debate, we learn, but most importantly we have fun! Without a doubt, I teach wonderful and talented students who simply need opportunities to succeed and grow. It is my hope that DonorsChoose will continue to help me provide the educational opportunities they deserve.
