Our school promotes student creativity through collaborative projects. We are a public school in the San Gabriel Valley. Our population is 83% Hispanic or Latino. More than 75% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. We promote P.R.I.D.E at our school which stands for Purpose, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Do the Right Thing, and Expect Excellence. At any given day, you will see all of our 5th graders coming to school with bright smiles on their faces. They are excited what the day has in store for them. They are like sponges and love absorbing new things about the world around them. They love to learn to read, write and understand math. I have students at various academic levels. However, they all share one common quality, the love to LEARN! I want to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable to persevere in their learning.
