These items will provide an environment that is calming to my students when they get stressed or upset. The bean bag and folding chair will serve a dual purpose. It will provide a relaxing space to practice proper social interactions and learn how to interact with the varying abilities of my students. It will facilitate social and emotional growth not only for my students but also for the students outside my classroom who pop in for visits. The growth and understanding that can be achieved by simple conversations and time spent is invaluable.
