As an outsider coming into this field, I am blown away by what I have seen. I am blown away by how much teachers give to their profession, and how much they give of their time and personal money to their students. Whether you pick my class or another, you are making difference by helping teachers make a difference. These teachers love their kids, and so do I. Even, and maybe especially, the trouble-makers. About my kids: this is the urban core. If you are on this site you know what this means. Many of my students are dealing with profound socio-economic disadvantages. Many are dealing with language barriers that would stop most of us in our tracks. How do you learn Precalculus in an English classroom when you can't speak a word of English? But my kids deserve every advantage the suburban kids have. If you fund my projects, I will do my very best to give them every advantage I can. Thank you for your consideration.
