Being in school during a pandemic, is a difficult task for many students. My 20 third graders are full of energy and are excited to be back in a school setting, however, they are now asked to remain at their desks the entire school day. This is a requirement due to COVID health regulations and rules. Desk converters will help! My students need more opportunities to move during the school day. The students are not allowed to leave their desks while in school. The students come to school from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Monday through Friday. As a third grader, many of them struggle to contain their energy for such a long period of time. They become antsy, lose focus, and often become depressed at the lack of movement in their new school setting. These desk converters will allow them the option to sit or stand at their desks as they work. They will promote movement, make them healthier learners, and improve their focus which will ultimately lead to success in school. These students have been through so much during the pandemic, now they are being asked to stay in a 4 ft by 4 ft learning area during a 6 hour school day. Please help make their school experience better for their learning and their health.
