While our school provides Chromebooks for every student, headphones or earbuds are not provided. This creates inequity among our population as some students can afford them and others cannot. Purchasing sets of headphones will allow us to lend them out individually to students or to classes working on projects or to listen to audio books. Our library has a great audio book collection! If this project was fully funded, it means all students will have the opportunity to create, learn, and explore with sound in the classroom! Not to mention have the opportunity to listen to audio books. The headphones would be housed in the school library media center and be lent out to individual students or for an entire classroom to use as needed.
