I am so excited to begin the new school year with my kiddos! And I have almost everything they need to be their best and excel in our classroom. Some of the items I am requesting are instructional tools, but many of them are specific to the special needs of my students. Arithmetic books can fuel interactive read-alouds during math and launch a workshop where my kids begin to build conceptual knowledge around arithmetic. Seat pockets are used during small groups at the teacher's table to keep specialized materials separate and personalized. This will make instructional time more efficient and guarantee that all of my learners are equipped with whatever materials they need at a moment's notice. I plan to use contact paper to cover magnetic surfaces and table surfaces alike so that students have access to think spaces whether they are webbing their pre-writing in workshops or drawing arrays in math small groups. It is imperative that they have these tools while they evolve as scholars. I want them to be equipped with everything, especially choice, so they can self-regulate and learn in their own special way. Your contribution will result in over 3,000 hours of specialized student work every school year. Using the Amazon Fire tablets, students will be able to access language arts and math resources and traditional seating. Using traditional desktop computers limit them to the computer's space, but tablets can move freely across the classroom with their choice of preferential seating. In our classroom, we are always doing our best. This is your chance to be an amazing part of the classroom family!
