We serve over 900 students from 1st to 5th grade, students with vision impairment and self-contained ESE classes with varying exceptionalities. Our classes come twice a week for 30 minutes. We have singles, co-teaches, doubles and even triples. Though we have a limited amount of time, no passing time between classes and often large numbers of students each session, we do our best to offer an engaging and all-encompassing music program to our students. I have a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Stetson University and have been teaching Florida public school music grades K-8 for 23 years, 14 of those years in Title 1 schools. I am certified Level 3 in World Music Drumming and Orff Level 1. My co-teacher has Little Kids Rock training. In addition to the Classroom experiences we offer a range of before school and after school ensembles including Chorus, Orff, Orchestra and Rock Band.
