Many of my students go their entire school career hating reading. When they enter the classroom, they dread reading a novel as a whole group, and constantly questions, why do I need to read? The truth is, many of my students hate reading because they have never found a novel that speaks to their heart and drives a passion for reading. I want to give my students a library to help them discover their own love of reading. By giving my students a classroom library, they will have the opportunity to experiment with their learning; to find books of different genres that appeal to their interests and to feel represented in the novels available in their library. I want to foster a love of learning with my students through a love of reading that will last a lifetime.
