I have the honor of spending my days with the best students and paraprofessionals! My Elementary Special Education Life Skills classroom celebrates each other’s individual unique abilities, life skills, and communication! I teach K-5th grade students with intellectual disabilities and other health impairments as well as communication struggles. My students are verbal and nonverbal, they thrive using interactive education material with multiple uses, and visuals. They enjoy working for a time with preferred activities. They require a variety platform to be successful with academic opportunities presented to them! They prefer activities that allow them to learn in a hands-on manner rather than paper and pencil tasks. My students benefit from a wide variety of learning opportunities to move from activity to break times frequently in our daily routine.
