I have the privilege of teaching K4 students in an urban school in which 89% of our students qualify to receive free or reduced lunch. A large majority of my students are English Language learners and often begin their very first school experience in my classroom. Students come to me from a variety of backgrounds, home and/or daycare experiences. Some of my students have began their school careers the year before in K3, other students have been in daycare or began their education in their family homes.
